"Self BID!"

I just returned from the Annual PLISF auction which was pretty darn fun! My favorite auctioneer, Prof. H., was on his fee for about 20 lots, and it was hilarious ... talk about peer pressure. He attempted to get everyone that bid to raise their bid with a self bid ... you had to be there. He walked the room, went up to people that weren't even bidding ... tried to con his students into bidding in exchange for a photograph (no grade increases ;-)), and by the end of it students were running away from him - HILARIOUS! (I'm also easily amused!)

Highlights -

• Z got a sweet deal on the 1L gift basket - course outlines and supplements for all my courses this semester, $$$ at the bookstore, subway gift card (mm subway) AND excedrin! Now if only they threw in a brief that I could submit I'd be in good shape.
  
• PL outbid EVERYONE for tickets to the Penguins game on 3/19 ... and guess who's goin' with her ... uhhhhhhuh!
  
• BH went nuts over the IPOD nano and almost took someone out ... again, you had to be there!
• Dinner w/Prof. H (initially for 6, upped to 12 people!) went for $1100!! A little insane if you ask me, but for a good cause I suppose - supporting 1L summers!
