P.O.R.

"Pile O'Research" - it looks harmless and organized, but no ... it is evil.

I see you learned well from K&S: print everything and sort it out later! And if possible, stick it in a binder.

I rejected that approach and went with the opposite. All of my research fits in one manila folder. Non-expanded manila folder, I should say. I read everything online. My apartment is messy enough as it is.

Yes, I did make a binder (not indexeed unfortunately!), and I thought it'd be super easy to thumb through it. However I reject the binder idea as well. All I do is pull out the cases from the binder and spread it around on a table. Easier for me to visualize! a little messy, inconsiderate too ... but that doesn't bother me!

I can't read online ... it drives me nuts. I HAVE TO PRINT (I recycle!) and highlight, and scribble and mark it up w/postits.

Just be happy that I gave up saving every change I made in a new version - ala DRAM.

Yeah, I don't really like reading online either, especially on Lexis and Westlaw. All the links make it really tough to read. But with most of the cases I only need to read a paragraph or two, so I deal with it.

Good luck with the brief! Turned mine in on Wednesday. Oral argument on the 27th...
