Emergencies - just an observation
Have you ever noticed that when an ambulance (sirens blaring, and all that jazz) comes through, many times when people move aside - they almost cause accidents in themselves? Well, if you haven't noticed it - I'm talking about when people like drive onto the curb, through red lights into intersections, into the next lane (sometimes w/out looking!), etc. And as soon as the ambulance passes, its business as usual, traffic just falls back into place.
It's kinda like life ... "emergencies" come up in life completely unexpectedly (no sirens!) but blaze through like an ambulance in traffic. EVERYTHING else stops still, sometimes creating a situation that could become an emergency later. But as soon as the situation passes, its business as usual ... we keep goin. Life goes on, everything falls back into place.

actually, the one time i was in an accident that was technically my fault had to do w/ a fire truck going through a red light at the same intersection where i had a green light. i had no idea it was coming and everyone slammed their brakes on... i was just staring at that green light thinking "go"! the funny thing is that the car i hit must not have had insurance cuz it just zipped away and tried to lose me (no complaints from me, of course)!
p.s. Companion goldfish delivered to your room for the duration of your stay upon request
